One terrorist has been killed in a gunfight between security forces and terrorists in Larnoo area of Kokernag in South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
Officials told that a n unidentified terrorist has been killed while as operation is is over in the area.
Earlier an official said that a joint team of Police, army's 19 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
He said that as the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Official sources told that the killed terrorist is affiliated with LeT terror outfit and one Ak47 along with arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.
