On Sunday, Yuvraj Singh was arrested by Hisar Police for making derogatory remarks against Scheduled Castes. Yuvraj has been accused of making derogatory remarks on Yuzvendra Chahal on Scheduled Castes in a live chat with Rohit Sharma last year.
Due to which the Hansi police of Haryana interrogated Yuvraj for three hours at Hisar Geo Mess after arresting him. Later, on the orders of the High Court, the former cricketer was released on formal bail.
Yuvraj Singh had joined the investigation on the orders of the High Court. During this, Yuvi was accompanied by lawyers, security personnel and five staff members. After interrogation, Yuvraj Singh left for Chandigarh.

A social activist, Rajat Kalsan, lodged a complaint with the police regarding Yuvraj Singh for making derogatory remarks against Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj Singh was accused of using derogatory words against Scheduled Castes. After this Rajat Kalsan filed a case against Yuvraj in Hansi police station under various sections of SC-ST Act and IPC.

Apologizing for the controversial remark, Rohit Sharma wrote in his post that "I want to clarify that I have never believed in any kind of inequality regarding caste, color, varna and gender.
