DG BSF visited Pahalgam and Baltal axis to review arrangements

On 10th July 2023, Shri Nitin Agrawal, IPS, DG BSF arrived at the BSF HQ Kashmir Frontier on a three day visit. The DG BSF was welcomed by the Shri Ashok Yadav, IPS, Inspector General, BSF Kashmir Ftr. 
 
On the same day, the DG BSF interacted with BSF officers of Kashmir Ftr and thereafter moved to Pahalgam by road along with IG, BSF, Kashmir Frontier and visited Area of  responsibility of BSF Bns deployed for the SANJY. He also carried out security review and held discussions with BSF and CRPF commanders and interacted with troops of all the CAPFs & JKP deployed on the route to review the overall deployment/domination plan for SANJY – 2023. He further halted for the night at Pahalgam. 
 
On 11th July DG BSF, travelled on Chandanwari axis route via Sadhu Padav, Pissu Top, Zojibal, Nagakoti, Sheshnag,  Wahabal, M G Top, Poshpathri and reached Panjtarni. Enroute, he interacted with yatris, langarwalas and troops of different CAPFs deployed on Chandanwari axis. He halted for night at Panjtarni. 

 
Today, on 12th July at 0515 hrs, Shri Nitin Agrawal, IPS, DG BSF left from Panjtarni to Holy Cave via Sangam top,  Lower Holy Cave. He interacted with troops of different security forces and reviewed the security arrangements on the route.  Thereafter, he offered his prayers and paid darshan of Shri Amarnath Ji. In the afternoon DG BSF returned back to Ftr HQ BSF, Kashmir.
 
During interaction with BSF troops, DG lauded the high level of professionalism and exhorted them to remain alert for any eventuality. He appreciated high level of synergy among various agencies for SANJY-2023. He also praised and appreciated 
the involvement of forces in running medical camps and placement of  BSF disaster response team at various locations and enroute covering the both axis i.e. Baltal & Pahalgam for SANJY yatries.
