Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura Statehood Day

On this day 50 years back, 21 January 1972, the states of Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura become full-fledged states under the North-Eastern Areas (Reorganization) Act,1971.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Manipur, Meghalaya, and Tripura on their statehood day and praised them for their "vibrant contributions" to the country's development.
