Natural beauty to the budding school children of South Kashmir, Indian Army conducted a Capacity Building Tour for the students of Anantnag to Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, Pahalgam. A total of 50 students from seven different schools took part in the event. This tour was aimed at providing an opportunity to the students of the area to visit places of interest for broader understanding of the facilities available to them in nearby locations.
The monotony of the school life and extended COVID -19 lockdown in the region has increased boredom. The tour was planned to give a refreshing break and generate awareness by discussing on contemporary issues and conduct of various games. This Capacity Building Tour would definitely enrich students knowledge, wisdom and character. The motivational tour has helped in developing better cooperation among the students.
interaction with students post completion of the tour revealed that such events
provide platform to broaden their horizon. All laid down Covid-19 protocols were followed during the conduct of the event.
All the students and teachers appreciated this effort by Indian army an requested them for more such tours in near future
