Imtiaz Alam, Ahmed Hussain, Fakruddin, Mohd. Firoz Aslam, Imtiaz Ansari, Mohd. Chargesheet was filed against Iftikar Alam, Azharuddin Quresi and a minor. Barring Fakruddi, all the other nine accused were convicted by the court. The culprits will be sentenced on November 1.
In the Gandhi Maidan serial blast case, five out of 10 accused lodged in Beur Jail have been sentenced to life imprisonment in the Bodh Gaya blast case. After the testimony of all the parties in the Gandhi Maidan blast case, the NIA court had fixed October 27 for the pronouncement of the verdict. It is a coincidence that the court chose the same date for justice in the Gandhi blast case as the date on which the blasts took place.
