An Encounter broke out between terrorists and joint team of security forces in Wanigam area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Officials told that a joint team of Police, army's 29RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
He said that as the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon forces party which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
As per official sources, two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area.
Meanwhile security forces have tightened the cordon and all the entry and exit points have been sealed so that terrorists can't be escape, while this report was being filled heavy exchange of firing was going on.
