"There will be no winning party in this war, everyone will suffer"- said PM Modi

My arrival in Denmark was a part of the second leg of my three-nation Europe trip; PM Modi stated that while addressing a press conference.

PM Modi was received by the Danish Prime Minister at the airport. PM Modi arrived in Copenhagen from Germany. Arindam Bagchi, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson described it as a “special gesture”. In Copenhagen, PM Modi held comprehensive discussions with co-chaired the India-Germany inter-governmental consultations and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.  

Thanking the German government for their hospitality the PM said, “The talks with (Olaf) Scholz were extensive and so were the Inter-Governmental Consultations. I got a great opportunity to interact with business and Indian community leaders.” Also, before leaving Berlin, PM Modi tweeted that his Germany visit was “productive”.

PM Modi said, “We appealed for immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and return to dialogue and diplomacy for resolving the crisis.” My arrival in Denmark was a part of the second leg of my three-nation Europe trip; PM Modi stated that while addressing a press conference.

On Monday (2nd May, 2022), PM Modi said, “there will be no winning party in this war, everyone will suffer”. Next, PM Modi will travel to France and meet with President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday. Therefore, Scholz said, I have invited PM Modi to the G-7 meeting which wil be held in Germany in the last week of June.

PM modi said, “The Summit will focus on subjects like post-pandemic economic recovery, renewable energy, innovation and technology, India-Nordic cooperation in the Arctic region and the evolving global security scenario.”

“Nordic countries are important partners for India in sustainability, digitization, innovation, renewable energy. The visit will help in expanding our multifaceted cooperation with the Nordic region, he further added.”

At the time of delegation level talks led by Frederisken and Modi, Denmark and india has reviewed progress in the Green Strategic Partnership. They have also discussed about the wide-ranging cooperation in areas of climate, Arctic, skill development, P2P ties among others, renewable energy.
