Northeast states are truly the jewel of the Nation like our Country's Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi Ji is always proclaiming. And when it comes to sports, the northeast state's players are never behind instead, they are making their mark on the whole world and not just in our country.
Here is a very special and talented sportsperson from Nagaland. He is the first equestrian from the northeast region and also the only one from the northeast region to be selected for Equestrian Indian National Team to represent our country at the International World level. He is Mr. Kekhriesilie Rio from Touphema village Nagaland, son of Shri Zhaleo Rio IAS retd, former sports director of Nagaland and currently the MLA and advisor to Nagaland PDA Government.
Today Mr. kekhriesilie Rio of United Riders Barn club has won FEI (Federation Equestre International) World Jumping Challenge 2020 (south zone) in category A on Claudette, at embassy International riding school Bangalore.
It is a moment of pride for Nagaland state and the whole of the northeast region and our country in general. We wish him all the best of luck in his upcoming future endeavor.

Winner of FEI World show jumping Challenge 2020, Categoty A In India on Claudette at Bangalore.

2nd position in the Asian equestrian federation junior/young world jumping challenge Bangalore,2019.

Awarded "India's Best rider award 2018" in the Junior category in whole India.
4.
1st position in the Junior National Equestrian championship show jumping, Kolkata 2018.
5.
3rd position in the 45km national endurance competition held in Dibrugarh 2015.
