Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda, who was on a two-day visit to the State Nagaland, held a meeting with the State Party Karyakartas at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.
Addressing the state party karyakartas at Kohima, JP Nadda said that Nagaland is a land of a combination of sixteen tribes and, it is also a land where the tribals have been fighting for the protection of the culture, the language and the tribal culture, BJP party respects the feeling of conserving the culture of the tribes and also protecting the language of the tribal area, the history tells us how naga people have fought for the protection of the history, and they have dedicated their lives fighting against the Britishers thus he salutes all the fighters of the Nagas for the glories' history for protecting own culture. He has also mentioned the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s first established “Azad Hind fauj” administered village known as Ruzazho in Phek district in Naga hills during the freedom struggle and humbly shared his gratitude to the present tribal leaders of Nagas who were representing and protecting the tribal cultures of Nagaland.
He said that through the initiative of the Prime Minister of India, various programmes and schemes have been launched reaching crores of people across the country and highlighting the beneficiaries achieved by various people across India. BJP has worked for the poor people in the rural areas, have worked for the people who are deprived of facilities, he added. The National President also stated that eighty crore people are getting five kg of rice per person through the initiative of the Prime Minister of India and stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party workers are ambassadors for the society and seva. He also requested to observe the Seva Pakhwada on the seventeenth of September as it is the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where crores of party workers will involve themselves in seva pakhwada, conducting various programmes which include the mega blood donation programme, he said.
The national ideological party BJP is now fighting with dynastic parties, and the regional parties have been reduced now to dynastic parties, he said, We have to understand that it is only the BJP which is an ideologically based party with the national commitment and taking care of the people as well, he said. Nadda also stated that the prime minister of India has a keen interest in the North East state and said that the PM has visited fifty times, which shows his affection for the northeast, and citing that Infrastructure is expanding. The national highway network in the state today has been extended to 880kms from 2014 to now 1547kms in Nagaland, Dimapur railway station which was inaugurated in 1903 after a hundred years, Nagaland is going to have its second railway station at Shokhuvi Village, Dimapur.
In alliance with the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party, the National President stated that it is the decision of the party and as a national party, commitments and faith come first. He further suggested the party karyakartas have faith in the national leadership, as they know how to grow and come up with it. We have to go forward from pillar to post and see that the BJP blossoms, the lotus symbol blossoms, respecting the commitments of the central leadership which is also the responsibility of the state unit and encouraging them to stand committed in their commitments.
Short speeches were delivered by Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party leader Y Patton, and Nalin Kohli, National Spokesperson and Prabhari Nagaland.
The earlier welcome address was delivered by Temjen Imna Along, State BJP President and Minister for Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Nagaland.
The meeting was attended by the state office bearers, spokespersons, state executive members, state council members, state BJP Morcha/ Cells/ department members and district and Mandal BJP officials.
