Bharat: In a chilling echo of recent Hamas-style attacks, eight missiles were launched from Pakistan late Thursday night, targeting key civilian and military zones in Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia areas of Jammu. According to Defence Sources, all incoming projectiles were successfully intercepted by India’s alert and advanced Air Defence Units, averting what could have been a major tragedy.
Residents in the area reported multiple aerial streaks and loud interception booms, reminiscent of the rocket barrage patterns seen in Middle East conflict zones, particularly in Israel during Hamas attacks.
Defence officials noted that the crude, unguided nature of the missiles closely resembled low-cost, high-volume tactics employed by non-state terror groups, particularly Hamas, rather than conventional military operations. “This is not normal state behavior. This is Pakistan’s Army mimicking a terror outfit,” one senior defence source stated.
Adding weight to this assertion, intelligence sources confirmed that senior ISI operatives met with Hamas representatives in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) just last month. The current missile attack is being viewed as a potential direct outcome of that clandestine coordination, signaling a dangerous hybrid warfare strategy by Islamabad.
While the Indian Armed Forces remained on high alert, there was no report of casualties or infrastructure damage, till the time of filing this report.
Top military brass are reviewing the situation, and diplomatic channels are expected to be activated soon to highlight Pakistan’s increasing reliance on proxy war tactics and terror-model military strategies. (DEFENCE)
