The first edition of Tribalhood Festival 2022, aimed at bringing together Northeast folks in the capital to celebrate the togetherness of the diverse and colourful cultures, home away from home, is all set to kick off tomorrow July 9 2022 at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri.
Tribalhood Festival, unlike other Northeast festivals in Delhi, will stand out with its unique festival editions. The organizers of Tribalhood Festival, Group VAY, is an acronym consisting of three individuals, Mr Vishwas Tyagi, a businessman and a philanthropist who not only loves music but also aims to promote talents, especially from the northeast, Mr Auztynn Shimray, a prominent activist and a social worker who has been tirelessly working for the welfare of the northeastern community for a decade and Mr Yangertoshi is a police officer and a musician who believes in giving the right space to the talents of the northeast. He is also the advisor of the group.
They have come up with these creative ideas to provide an adequate platform for the artists and performers from Northeast India and to build a bridge to accommodate the vibrant and diverse cultures in the capital along with proper recognition of talent from the Northeast region.
Varieties of rich and varied cuisines, local handicrafts and handlooms from the eight states of the region-Assam, Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram will be displayed on the tables and stalls at the event.
The festival will also feature high notes of music from a lineup of renowned and exciting artists performing from the Northeast region.
