The grand commemoration of 50 years of Arunachal Pradesh by following the COVID-19 safety protocols took place with much enthusiasm at Padi Yubbe Stadium in Ziro today. The mega event showcases a colourful display of the state's cultural heritage and rich tradition.
The month-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of Arunachal Pradesh begins in the Ziro Valley of the Lower Subansiri district.
The festival includes all cultural and literary events as well as indigenous games and sports.
The month-long program will culminate in Itanagar on February 20, 2022, during the 36th State Foundation Day celebrations.
On 20 January 1972, the North-East Frontier Agency was renamed Arunachal Pradesh and became a union territory and on 20 February 1987, Arunachal Pradesh became a state.
