NIA raided the hideouts of Jamaat-e-Islami, opened front against Pakistani terrorists

Today, NIA searched residential premises against their cadres in Jammu and Kashmir. The NIA, along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF, launched a search operation from 6 am.
Earlier on 8th and 9th August, in Budgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Anantnag, Shopian, Bandipora,Pulwama, Kulgam, Kishtwar Rajouri, Ramban, and Doda districts by the Anti-Terrorism Agency at 61 places. Raid was done.
Also, NIA recently raided nine places in Jammu and Kashmir. During this, investigation was done in connection with the sending of large-scale money from Pakistan to India on the pretext of importing California almonds (almond kernels) through the trade route. NIA searched premises of suspected traders in Poonch district with the help of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force and Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
At the time of search, the NIA has seized various documents, digital equipment and other incriminating material from the premises of the suspects. The import of California almonds is known as Salamabad in Baramulla district, Uri and Chakkan-da- in Poonch district. This was facilitated through the Cross-LoC Trade Facilitation Center (TFC) located at Bagh.
The NIA filed the FIR on 16th December, 2016 and started investigating the order of the Union Home Ministry on 9th December, 2016. The investigation is based on inputs about terror funding taking place through cross-LoC trade routes.
