North-eastern state's boundary has certain misunderstandings & problems since the partition of India.
In 1949, the Manipur State merger agreement was to respect all the Neighboring boundaries without hurting other neighboring States.
In 1971, the State reorganization Acts Government of India, clearly stated that Manipur has a distinct boundary.
Manipur & Nagaland has three-four conflicting points on the boundary since the creation of States; Dzukou Valley, Tungjoy, Wunghon, and Jessami.
Shri. Dr. Rk Ranjan Singh Ji says that 75% of Dzukou valley belongs to the Manipur State and, 25% belongs to Nagaland which is divided by the Dzukou river.
He proposed that both States should think about the forwarding movement and make Dzukou a common property. An idea about the common property will solve the dispute and peace will prevail in the land.
The main issue of the Manipur border dispute is the Indo-Myanmar boundary which has been pending since the creation of the State because the Indian side representative has not represented Manipur properly. There are 13 boundary pillars yet to be erect in the State boundary now.
The dispute can be settled peacefully if represented properly.
