In a significant achievement, 17 Agniveer aspirants from Manipur have successfully cleared the Agniveer Recruitment process for 2024, thanks to the mentorship provided by the Indian Army. These successful candidates were honored at a felicitation ceremony held at the Red Shield Centre for Wellness & Excellence in Bishnupur on October 5, 2024.
Responding to requests from the ex-servicemen community and local residents, the Indian Army organized a comprehensive preparatory course for 101 aspirants. The training program was aimed at preparing the candidates for the Agniveer Common Entrance Test (CET), which took place between February 18 and April 18, 2024. Out of the initial batch, 38 candidates successfully qualified the CET and underwent a rigorous nine-week training program to prepare for the second phase of the recruitment process.
As the program expanded, an additional 21 aspirants joined, bringing the total number of participants to 58. The extended training included pre-medical tests along with physical training, designed to equip the candidates with the necessary skills to clear the demanding recruitment rally.
Out of the 58 participants, 35 successfully passed the mandatory tests at the rally. From this group, 17 candidates made it to the final merit list. These successful aspirants are now set to join various regiments of the Indian Army as proud Agniveers.
The achievement has been met with great pride and joy by both the candidates and their families, as well as the local communities, who see this as a major step forward in securing promising futures for their youth through service in the Indian Armed Forces.(pr)
