An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Saturday afternoon.
Army official that a joint team of army, special operations group of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Warnow forest and during search operation terrorists fired upon search party however fire was retaliated which leading to an encounter.
Police in a tweet said that a gunfight broke out in the forest area and intermittent firing was going on from both sides and the security forces are on job to neutralize all the terrorists.
Sources told that there might be a presence of 5-6 terrorists hiding in the forests as the forces are dense but the security forces are trying to eliminate all terrorists in the area as soon as possible.
Pertinently in Yadipora Baramulla encounter yesterday security forces got a big success when they neutralize three terrorists including a commander who was active from last many years and he was the main recruiter of new boys but with his elimination the graph of terrorists will come down.
