Shri. K. T Sukhalu IAS (retd), the Hon'ble MLA and Advisor for School Education, Govt of Nagaland has inaugurated the District Sports Council Rostrum at Zunheboto town Public ground on 11th January 2021 in commemoration of 33rd Zunheboto Area Sports Association (ZASA) Kukami Trophy 2021, which was commenced from 11t January 2021 up to 18th January 2021 under the motto "Friendship through Sports".
The Rostrum was dedicated to the Sumi community and district headquarters Zunheboto to encourage and promote youth sports. Shri. Sukhalu further cited that the project was undertaken as an iconic project for 35 Assembly Constituency Zunheboto under the Local Area Development Fund (LADF). He had urged the youth to come forward in the field of sports and compete at the state and national levels. He also thanked the land donor Shri. Kiyeshe Zhimo, GB of Sheyipu village for donating the land for the construction of Rostrum.
Meanwhile, he appealed to all the Village Councils, GBs, apex Sumi tribal organization, and the public to co-operate and supervise the contractor's on the ongoing two-lane road construction under Zunheboto district for early completion as per the specifications and to ensure quality workmanship in the District.
After the formal session, He had also carried out an inspection for the ongoing construction of Multi-purpose Hall Zunheboto for the early completion of the project. The project, he had laid a foundation stone for the construction of Multipurpose Hall Zunheboto on 8th October 2020.
The program was attended by apex Sumi Hoho, Sumi Kukami Hoho, STH, SKK, ZAPO, United Ranges Forum Zunheboto, NDPP, and other frontal organizations and people of Zunheboto town.
