On Wednesday, UP Police has arrested Sameer Ali, Ali Raza, and Mohammad Zafar, for raising 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans during Eid-e-Milad procession on Tuesday in noida sector 8.
The rally where Pakistani slogans were raised, went viral on social media. The police took action after a 13-second video got viral.
In that video clip a group of people were holding multiple Islamic flags, the India's tricolor was also seen being carried in the video. Therefore, few people were seen hitting the Indian flag while holding Islamic flag in their hands at the time of Pakistani slogans.
Right after the video went viral on social media, Vishwa Hindu Parishad alerted the sector's 20 police station and asked immediate action against the perpetrators.
Uma Nandan Kaushik, Zonal head of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Noida said, "Some people raised 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans during the procession.'
"Someone captured the incident on mobile phone and shared the video with us. We then informed the police and demanded action against them," he further added.
On the other hand, Imam of Jama Masjid in Noida's Sector 8, Mufti Mohammad Rashid Qasmi distanced himself from the incident. He alleged that the procession has nothing to do with the mosque or its organizing committee.
In the month of August, Madhya Pradesh police has arrested six people and detained over ten for raising 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans during Muharram procession in Ujjain this year.
