Two army soldiers were martyred along the Line of Control (LoC) in Suderbani sector of Rajouri district in jammu and kashmir officials said.
“Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked cease fire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani Sector of District Rajouri on 27 November,” Lt Col Devender Anand, army’s Jammu based spokesman told “Own troops responded immediately to the enemy fire. In the ensuing fire, two Jawans of the Indian Army Naik Prem Bahadur Khatri and Rifleman Sukhbir Singh got critically injured and later succumbed to their injuries.”
He said Naik Prem Bahadur Khatri and Rifleman Sukhbir Singh were brave, highly motivated and sincere soldiers. The incident comes a day after a JCO was killed and a civilian was injured on LoC in Poonch district.
It is pertinent to mention here that pakistani forces are regularly violating the ceasefire from last many weeks in order to infiltrate the terrorists more to this side of local however the timely action and strong retaliation by indian army and BSF jawans foiled all their attempts.
