On 28th November, 2021,  RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat attended an event in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh where he said, "There is no India without Hindus and there are no Hindus without India. He further said, "India stood on its own. This is the essence of Hindutva. That is why India is a country of Hindus."

Speaking about the partition of India, Mr. Bhagwat said, "After the partition, India broke up and became Pakistan. It happened because we forgot the idea that we are Hindus. The Muslims there also forgot it. First, the strength of those who consider themselves Hindus decreased, then their numbers decreased. Therefore, Pakistan was no longer India."

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat also said that the number of Hindus has also come down. He said, "You will see that the numbers and strength of Hindus have diminished or the spirit of Hindutva has diminished. If Hindus want to remain Hindus, India will have to become 'Akand'."

Earlier, while addressing the release of a book function, the RSS chief had said, "India's pain at the time of Partition should not be forgotten. It will go away when the Partition of India is undone."
