A shocking news has come out from Silvassa. It is alleged that a cleric who used to give education about right and wrong, he himself has raped a minor girl who came to study in the madarsa. However, the victim girl has informed her family about the incident. After this the family reached the police station. Hearing this incident. after which there was a sensation in the whole state.
At the same time, the victim along with her parents reached the police station on Wednesday and lodged a complaint against the accused Maulana. The victim told the police that Maulana Sheikh Mohammed Tariq, a resident of Uttar Dinajpur West Bengal, who taught with her in a madarsa in Silvassa where she was studying, raped her. The mother who reached the police station with the victim daughter told that my girl called me that my mother is ill, come soon.
When I went to the madarsa, they locked my girl in the room. I was shouting that send my girl out, I went upstairs and knocked on the door, then those people said nothing has happened. Mother further told that my girl started crying and telling that she has been raped by Maulvi. She was studying here for 4 years. The accused should be given capital punishment.
The victim's father said, “My minor daughter is like the daughter of a 40-year-old cleric in a madarsa. She had gone to the madarsa to get knowledge. It was my daughter's mind that she has to study Alima. That's why I got his name written here. After the rape, my daughter was imprisoned for 2 days. He was not given food or water."
Police have registered a case against the accused under section 376 of IPC and section 4 of POCSO Act. Which has been confirmed by the SP Swami of the district. Giving information about the incident he said, taking cognizance of the complaint of the minor girl, we have immediately registered an FIR and arrested that Maulana.
