On 12th February 2024, Rozgar Mela, under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI, was organized by the Headquarters of BSF Kashmir Frontier Campus Humhama. This was the 12th tranche of handing over of Offer of Appointment letters to the newly inducted youths and to carry forward the commitment of Honorable Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation being provided to young and talented youth of the country each year.
On this occasion, more than one lakh Offer of Appointments across various regional centers were handed over to the newly inducted candidates, wherein the Hon'ble Prime Minister initially addressed the newly appointed candidates through virtual mode and congratulated the candidates and their families on this momentous occasion. He highlighted that Rozgar Mela will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth in nation building.
The ceremony at BSF Campus Humhama was presided over by Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai, MoS (Women and Child Development & Ayush) GOI, wherein offer of appointment letters were handed over to *19* candidates hailing from J&K and *5* from other states, who will infuse the flow of young blood, energetic & analytic mind in various originations like CAPFs, Central University Kashmir, Postal Department and Income Tax Department.
Welcoming the chief guest and other dignitaries on the occasion, Shri Ashok Yadav, IPS, Inspector General, BSF Kashmir apprised them about sensitivity of the border under Kashmir Frontier and how BSF has been effectively dealing with the challenges on LoC along with Army, CAPF and in aiding civil authorities. Further IG BSF KMR Ftr applauded the role of civil society for the overall growth and harmonious environment in the region.
During the event Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai, apprised the audience about the recruitment drive launched by Govt of India by filling vacancies against sanctioned posts in a mission mode through recruitment agencies. He also reiterated that “Rozgar Mela” as on important step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s continued commitment to provide employment opportunities to the youth and ensure the welfare of the society.
There was great enthusiasm among the newly appointed youth who were seen taking selfie and giving interviews to the representatives of media houses. They also thanked the Hon’ble Prime Minister and Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai, MoS (Women and Child Development & Ayush) GOI, for providing them the employment opportunities.
