Navjot Singh Sidhu, who resigned as the president of the Punjab congress unit, has now given a big statement saying, I will stand with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi even if I've post or not. Barely two months after taking over the president-ship of the Punjab pradesh congress committee, he submitted his resignation from the post recently. However, congress part has not accepted the resignation and now trying to convince him.
Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu stepped down from his post hardly a week after the Congress party appointed a new Chief Minister for the state. Sidhu affirmed that he will never compromise on Punjab's future and the agenda for the welfare of the state. Sources revealed that Sidhu was unhappy not only for being ignored for the Cm's post but also for the appointment of Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota and Amar Preet Singh Deol as the DGP and Advocate General respectively.
On Saturday, Navjot singh Sidhu tweeted, "will uphold principals of Gandhi ji and Shastri ji, Post or no post will stand by Rahul Gandhi & Priyanka Gandhi. Let all negative forces try to defeat me, but every ounce of positive energy will make Punjab Win, Punjabiyat (universal brotherhood) win & every Punjabi win."
