PM Modi was
addressing the 28th Foundation day program of the national human rights
commission through video conferencing on monday, he has spoke on the issues like
'triple talak', 26-week maternity leave. He also taunt on congress and said that viewing human
rights through political spectrum harms these rights as well as
democracy.
He said, the country is going ahead with the 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' mantra of his government and honored the government's initiatives towards women safety and women empowerment.
PM Modi said while Underlining the initiatives taken by the government to ensure the safety of women, that the government has set up over 650 fast track courts, one-stop centers providing medico-legal assistance in 700 districts among others.
While talking about the law of triple talaq PM Modi said, "Muslim women have been demanding a law against triple triple talaq for decades now. We have given new rights to muslim women by enacting a law against triple talaq. Our government has also given muslim women a new right . Freed from the compulsion of 'Mahram' during Haji."
