Oppositions stands in solidarity to nominate Yaswant Sinha against NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu

During an interview on Sunday, Yashwant Sinha had said about the opposition's bet that raising one person does not uplift the entire community. If another 'rubber stamp' comes in Rashtrapati Bhavan, it will be disastrous.

The opposition has nominated Yashwant Sinha as their president candidate in solidarity. Yashwant Sinha filed his nomination today. After which he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Along with him, Rahul Gandhi too offered flowers to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

During the nomination program, the opposition demonstrated strength by showing solidarity. On June 24, there was a gathering of veterans of the ruling party at the time of nomination of NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu.

During the nomination, leaders of many opposition parties including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Mallika Arjun Kharge, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Communist Party leader Sitaram Yechury and National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah were present.

On the other hand, along with 17 opposition parties, Yashwant Sinha was appointed as Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao has also spoken of giving support. Sinha believes that he will still be supported by more invisible forces.

Yashwant Sinha is pitted against Draupadi Murmu

Yashwant Sinha is up against Draupadi Murmu of the tribal community. During an interview on Sunday, Sinha had said about the opposition's bet that raising one person does not uplift the entire community. If another 'rubber stamp' comes in Rashtrapati Bhavan, it will be disastrous. He had promised that if he wins the elections, he will raise the voice of farmers, workers, unemployed youth, women and all sections of the marginalized society.

Voting on 18, Counting on 21 July
The election for the presidency will be held on 18 July, while the counting will take place on 21 July. Talking about the equation, the UPA, a coalition of opposition parties, has less numbers. The NDA has a total of 5.26 lakh votes, which is about 49% of the total votes. Only one more percent is needed. This can be accomplished with the support of YSR Congress Party or Biju Janata Dal. BSP has also spoken of supporting Draupadi Murmu.
