A KIDNAPPING MODULE BUSTED WITH THE ARREST OF ITS FIVE MEMBERS BY THE JOINT TEAM OF PS TIMARPUR AND PS MAHENDRA PARK

THE THREE YEARS OLD BOY WAS STOLEN BY A LADY, WHO RESIDES AT THE NEIGHBOURHOOD OF VICTIM FAMILY. 

THE LADY FURTHER HANDED OVER THE BOY TO one SARVESH WITH AN ASSURANCE OF GETTING RS 70,000/-. 

THE GROUP WAS LOOKING FOR A SUITABLE BUYER TO SELL THE KIDNAPPED CHILD.


BRIEF FACTS:- 
On 22.05.2021, one Ravi R/o Shriram Basti, Timarpur informed that his son (name withheld), age 3 years has been missing from his house and may be kidnapped by some unknown person. In this regard, initially a case vide FIR No. 148/21 u/s 363 IPC was registered at PS Timarpur and investigation was taken up.  Later, section 365, 368, 370, 34, 120B IPC has been added in the case with the arrest of 5 kidnappers. 

TEAM & OPERATION:
As the incident was regarding kidnapping of 3 years old minor boy, hence keeping in view of the sensitivity of the case, a dedicated team comprising SI Shrichand, SI Ashok, ASI Manoj, HC Pramod  and Ct Mandeep  headed by SHO/Insp. Tribhuvan Negi was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Swagat Patil, ACP/Timarpur.  

      During investigation, all the possible routes were drawn from the place of incident and CCTV cameras on these routes were checked. Suspected persons and neighbours were also interrogated by the team. Technical investigation of the suspect’s mobile phone numbers was done. The sources were also deployed to gather information about the boy and kidnapper. 

The team worked restlessly day & night and after a sincere follow-up of the case and with the efforts of the team, one lady namely Sunita, neighbour of the complainant, was suspected and interrogated. Her call detail was also scrutinized and the suspects, who were in touch with her, were also questioned. All these efforts created a flatter among her associates in crime and they planned to sell the child at the earliest. 

On 13.07.2021, an information was received through sources that the child is in the area of Jahangirpuri and a mother & her daughter, duo are trying to sell the kidnapped child. Immediately, a raid was conducted and an elderly lady Raj Rani, 70 yrs and her daughter Anuj Rani, 35 yrs were arrested in the case and the kidnapped child was also recovered form their custody by the joint team of PS Timarpur and PS Mahendra Park. 

On their sustained interrogation, duo revealed that the kidnapped child was given to Anuj Rani by one Seema, who is also resident of Jahangirpuri. Anuj Rani kept the child with her mother Raj Rani. Accordingly, raid conducted and Seema, 35 yrs was also arrested at instance of both. 

On interrogation, Seema disclosed that the child was given to her by one Sarvesh, who resides in Mukundpur, Delhi. Accordingly, raid was conducted and Sarvesh, 49 yrs was also arrested in the case. Sarvesh disclosed that Sunita, who is neighbor of complainant, had kidnapped the child and handed over to him. Sarvesh has assured her of paying Rs 70,000/- in lieu of child.

INTERROGATION:-
During interrogation, the accused persons disclosed that due to corona implications, they were running short of money. Hence, Sunita planned to kidnap the child from her neighbor and asked her known Sarvesh to sell the child. Sunita and Sarvesh also involved Seema, Anuj Rani (daughter) & Raj Rani (mother) in this job. The duo also promised both mother and daughter to get a handsome amount after selling the child. In greed, they all got involved in the plan. Sunita kidnapped the child from his neighbour and handed over to his associate Sarvesh. Sarvesh further contacted Seema, Anuj Rani and Raj Rani to sell the child. They were looking for a suitable buyer, but before execution of plan all got arrested.   

The accused person Sarvesh is illiterate and an auto driver. Accused Anuj Rani is 10th pass and other ladies are illiterate and housewives. Three of them i.e. Raj Rani, Anuj Rani and Seema are widow; hence they were trying to earn their livelihoods on their own. Due to corona they were in need of money and to gain easy money they planned the kidnapping. Their antecedents are being verified.
