Nagaland celebrated the State Level Teacher's Day celebration and acknowledged twenty teachers for their dedicated services at a grand function held today at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima, with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as the special guest for the occasion.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, in his address to the teachers, called upon the teachers to introspect, retrospect and plan for the future. He said that teaching is a very noble profession, and it is the teachers that leave an impact in our lives and stand out the most in everything, and expressed his gratitude for the hard work-out by all the teachers. He said that with the fast-changing time, the job of the teachers has become even more challenging as expectations have also increased and teachers have an extremely important role in making their students responsible and contributing citizens of society. Furthermore, he also stated that with the resolution of many issues, the government is working tirelessly to address other genuine issues and called upon the teachers that they would be more motivated and would leave no stone unturned in fully discharging their responsibilities. Further, Chief Minister also congratulated the National Awardee Mimi Yhoshu, who received the National Awards to Teachers 2022 by the President of India.
Chief Minister also felicitated the twenty teachers from various schools and also presented the Chief Minister's Meritorious Fellowship Scholarship CMMFS to the fifty toppers of Class ten for the years 2021 and 2022.
Advisor, School Education and SCERT, KT Sukhalu delivered the greetings while a special song and tribute were the highlights of the programme.
