The Naga Students Federation organized a symbolic prayer program on 22nd March 2023 at Parashen, Rengma region to commemorate Naga National Flag Hoisting Day.
Eno. Benjong Longchar, Secy. Social & Culture NSF chaired the programme and began with an invocation prayer led by Eno Rite Khutsoh, former Speaker NSF.
The NSF President, Eno Kegwayhun Tep unfurled the Naga National Flag and gave a brief message on the significance of the event.
A minute's silence was observed as a mark of respect to the past leaders who made contributions and sacrifices for the Naga people. After this, short messages were given by Eno. Atilo Kent, Vice President Rengma Selo Zi, and Eno. Ajo Tsela, President Rengma Students' Union and concluded with mass prayer.
The program was attended by NSF officials, senior NSF leaders as well as officials from various federating units of NSF and representatives of Rengma Selo Zi.
It is noteworthy that on March 22, 1956, the first Naga National Flag was hoisted at Parashen, a historical site located in the Rengma region.
