Today is the death anniversary of that immortal sacrificer who sacrificed every happiness to protect religion, whose arms tremble even today after hearing his name. Those symbols which would continue to teach, protected Dharma till eternity.

No matter how odd the situation is and no matter how strong the enemy is. Maharana Pratap was born on May 9, 1540 AD in Kumbhalgarh fort of Rajasthan. According to the Vikrami Samvat calendar, the birth anniversary of the brave and great Maharana Pratap from Hindu tradition is celebrated every year on Shukla Paksha Tritiya of Jyeshtha month.

His father was Maharana Udai Singh and mother was Jeevat Kanwar or Jaywant Kanwar. He was the grandson of Rana Sanga. Everyone used to call Maharana Pratap by the name 'Kika' in his childhood. Mewar has its own special place in Rajputana states, in which the pride of history, Bappa Rawal, Khuman I, Maharana Hammir, Maharana Kumbha, Maharana Sanga, Udai Singh and Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap have taken birth.

Maharana Pratap is considered an epitome of Rajput valor, chivalry and perseverance. He was the only warrior to fight a war against the Mughals. He never gave up in front of anyone even for his own benefit. He loved his people very much and also joined them in the freedom struggle.

Blessed is the bravery-bhoomi of Mewar where Pratap, who was brave and determined, was born. Who made his name Ajar-Amar in history? He sacrificed his life for religion and freedom. In the Haldighati war of 1576, Maharana Pratap, along with about twenty thousand Hindus, faced the Mughal Sardar's army of eighty thousand.

Maharana Pratap had a favorite horse, whose name was 'Chetak'. Ashwa Chetak also died in this war. Shakti Singh saved Maharana Pratap, who was surrounded by the enemy army. This war lasted only one day but seventeen thousand people died in it.

Pratap had to face many difficult troubles in his fugitive life, but he continued to fight for freedom. With the help of trusted men like Bhamashah, he fought the war again and re-established his kingdom in most parts of the state.

His sacrifice was like a brave warrior among the followers. The battle of Haldighati was fought on June 18, 1576 AD between the brutal killer Akbar and the heroic Shiromani Maharana Pratap. In the battle of Haldighati, neither the poor Akbar could win nor the Rana lost.

The Mughals had more military power, then Rana Pratap had no shortage of belligerent power. The real power of the Mughals was the traitors who broke away from among the Hindus, otherwise, a tyrant like Akbar would not have survived even for a few moments in front of the majestic Pratap.

Maharana Pratap's spear weighed 81 kg and his chest armor was 72 kg. The weight of his spear, armor, shield and two swords together was 208 kg. Let us tell you that in the battle of Haldi Ghati, Maharana Pratap had only 20,000 soldiers and Akbar had 85000 soldiers.

Despite this, Maharana Pratap did not give up and continued to fight for independence. When the Mughal army was behind them during the war, Chetak crossed the several feet long drain carrying Maharana Pratap on his back. Veer Shiromani Rana Pratap ji had attained immortality on this day i.e. on 19th January 1597 by giving the teachings of valor, self-respect, bravery to Hindus.

Even today, the tomb of Chetak remains in the Haldi valley of Chittor. Today the Sudarshan family takes a pledge to keep the glory of that immortal warrior of valor and valor Maharana Pratap on his death anniversary, and keep his glory immortal forever. May the heroic warrior Maharana Pratap be immortal?
