These days Indian army's chinar corps is continuously organising many sports events and helping out to those people who deserve ans are very poor.
Today Indian army's air defense brigade many items and money including sewing machine to Ms Zareena Begum belongs to Gujjar community in village Awoora, Pahalgam in Anantnag district. She is in Antyoday category on account of her family being from economically deprived section of society. Ms Zareena is born to Mr Ghulam Hassan Khatana (72 years) and Mrs Roshni Begum (handicapped). She has one sister. She has always dreamt to pursue her education and then be self reliant to support her family. On account of poor financial conditions, she could not study at all.
Ms Zareena is planned to be married as per the social norms to an individual who is a labour. However, her ingrained worries of taking care of family disturbs her. At this point in time, the family approached Indian Army for assistance. Sticking to true values of Chinar Corps, on 29 November 20, a unit of Chinar Air Defence Brigade at Anantnag rendered the supporting hand by gifting a sewing machine (pedestal), Rs 5000, warm clothing (blanket and shawl) and some other assistance on the occasion of her marriage to enable her to start her life as an entrepreneur and aim to be self reliant.
Such gesture of Chinar Corps on the occasion of marriage of such underprivileged Gujjar girl has touched the core of their heart. Everyone in the family, village personals and the girl expressed their deep sense of gratitude to the Indian Army.
However many senior citizens of the area appreciated this effort by chinar corps and said that these kind of efforts are being regularly conducted by air brigade and they appealed chinar corps to organize this kind of initiatives in near future so that these deserving and poor people can get this benefit.
