On Thursday, PM Narendra Modi addressed the ‘Utkarsh Samaroh’ in Bharuch, Gujarat. He addressed the event via video conferencing to mark the 100 percent saturation of four main state government schemes in the district. It will help provide timely financial assistance to those in need.
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said “Utkarsh camps were organized in all villages and wards of municipality areas of the district for applicants to provide necessary documents for on spot approval. Incentives were also given to utkarsh assistants to further facilitate the drive.”
As per the PMO, a total of 12,854 beneficiaries were indentified across the four schemes.
PM Modi said, “Hundred percent saturation of government schemes ends discrimination and need for a recommendation to get the benefits. It also puts an end to the appeasement politics.”
“Due to lack of information about government schemes, they either remain on paper of people not entitled for such schemes take benefit, he further added.”
The Prime Minister said that due to the efforts and faith of everyone, he could announce the aim of saturation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. He said that this is a huge programme of social security. He summed up this campaign as dignity to the poor (‘Gareeb ko Garima’).
While PM Modi was addressing the gathering he said, today’s Utkarsh Samaroh is a testimony to the fruitful results achieved when the government sincerely reaches out to the beneficiary with a resolve.
He said, many citizens from tribal, SC, and minority communities are deprived of the benefits of the schemes due to lack of information. He also noted that the spirit of Sabka Saath Sabka Vishwas and honest intentions invariably give good results.
