GOOD WORK BY THE STAFF OF TEAM PS KASHMERE GATE, NORTH DISTRICT

BRIEF FACTS:   
The complainant Shyam Kumar, R/o District Sitamani, Bihar, 18 yrs was reported that he is a student and came from Bihar to Delhi for further study. On 24.06.2021, he was waiting for bus near Metro Gate No. 3, Kashmere Gate to go to Nangloi at his relative residence. At around 2:30 PM, when he boarded bus, suddenly two persons took out his mobile phone from his trouser. When he noticed the same, he immediately got down from bus and ran behind those boys. After a chase of some distance near public toilet they manhandled with the victim and one of them take out paper cutter from his pocket and threatened him for dire-consequence. Hence, on the statement of complainant Shyam Kumar Sah, a case vide FIR No. 350/21, dated 24.06.2021 u/s 392/34 IPC has been registered in PS Kashmere Gate and investigation was taken up.  

TEAM & INVESTIGATION: 
As the matter was heinous in nature, a team comprising of SI Sandeep Yadav, ASI Bal Hussain, Ct Sachin and Ct Kapil was constituted under the leadership of Inspr. Dharmender Kumar, SHO/PS Kashmere Gate, in the close supervision of Sh. Uma Shankar, ACP/Kotwali.
 
During investigation, the dedicated team of PS Kashmere Gate prepared a rough portrait of the alleged persons as stated by the complainant. Without wasting any time, the team was deputed in plain clothes in the search of alleged persons near bus stands, auto stands and Railway Station.  Several DTC buses were checked. 

Finally, the laborious and continuous efforts of the police team bore fruits, when the alleged persons were apprehended at the instance of complainant from Mori Gate Bus Stop. They were identified as Sunny s/o Kari Mahto, 23 yrs and Mohd. Sultan S/o Saleem, 25 yrs, when they were searching for another prey. During their personal search, one mobile phone of the complainant and one paper cutter used in crime recovered from their possession. 

INTERROGATION: 
During sustained interrogation, they disclosed that they are addict of injections and to fulfill their needs of injections they commit crime. They further disclosed that they used to sell the stolen items to passerby/labours at cheap rate.


DETAIL OF ACCUSED PERSONS: 
1. Sunny s/o Kari Mahto R/o Buland Masjid, Shastri Park, Delhi, age 23 years (He has been found previously involved in 3 cases of Murder and Snatching registered in PS Usmanpur and PS Civil Lines. He was released from jail in October, 2020)

2. Md. Sultan S/o Saleem R/o D block, Shaheed Nagar, Gaziabad, UP, Age 25 yrs (He has been found previously involved in 3 cases of theft registered in PS Hauz Khas and New Ashok Nagar. He was released from jail in July, 2019)

RECOVERY: 
• One Mobile Phone.
• One paper cutter used in crime.
