GOOD WORK BY THE STAFF OF PS MAURICE NAGAR, NORTH DISTRICT, DELHI

Keeping in view, the regular directions of senior officers regarding checking the menace of criminals and to curb the street crime, police presence has been increased in the beat area of PS Maurice Nagar by regular area patrolling and randomly conducting picket checking at odd hours to shock the criminals. PS Maurice Nagar staff has also been directed for maximum use of ROKO-TOKO strategy of Delhi Police.  

BRIEF FACTS:
On 18.07.2021, HC Rajesh and Ct Rahul of PS Maurice Nagar were patrolling in the area, under the close supervision of Inspr. Rajeev Shah, SHO/PS Maurice Nagar and guidance of Sh. Pardeep Kumar, ACP/Civil Lines.   

At about 6:50 PM, when the patrolling staff reached at ND Kapoor Marg opposite Karori Mal College and noticed a boy, who started running away after seeing the police team. On suspicion, the patrolling staff swung into action and strategically apprehended the suspect after some chase. The suspected boy was identified as Ankush S/o Suraj, age-20 years. On enquiry, he could not reply any reason of running away. 
 
On his personal search, one mobile phone was recovered from his possession, but the suspect failed to open the mobile lock. 

INTERROGATION:
On interrogation, the accused Ankush S/o Suraj confessed that he along with his associate namely Vikas S/o Sita Ram R/o Lal Quarters Roop Nagar had robbed the mobile phone that day itself in the morning from a lady, who was moving on a Rickshaw near Sai Baba Mandir, Shastri Nagar Bus Stand, Inderlok Metro station. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 431/2021 dated 18.07.2021 u/s 392/394/34 IPC was found registered at PS Sarai Rohilla.  
Accordingly, the accused was arrested u/s 41.1 (d) & 102 Cr. P.C. at PS Maurice Nagar and the concerned PS Sarai Rohilla was informed accordingly.

DETAIL OF ACCUSED PERSON: 
• Ankush S/o Suraj R/o Shakti Nagar, Delhi, age-20 years. (Previously found involved in 05 cases of Thefts registered at PS Roop Nagar, Gulabi Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. He was released from jail in March, 2021).

RECOVERY:
• One mobile phone make Readme XT robbed from PS Sarai Roihlla area.

Efforts are being made to arrest the associate robber and affect more recovery.
