GOOD WORK BY THE STAFF OF PS KASHMERE GATE, NORTH DISTRICT, DELHI

Keeping in view, the regular directions of senior officers regarding checking the menace of criminals and to curb the street crime, police presence has been increased in the beat area of PS Kashmere Gate by regular area patrolling and randomly conducting picket checking at odd hours to shock the criminals.  

BRIEF FACTS:
The complainant Shishpal Singh, age-32 years (who is working as Priavate guard in BVG Company), reported in his complaint that on 19.07.2021, he was on duty at X-Ray Machine at ISBT Kashmere Gate. 

HC Sudhakar was patrolling in the area, under the leadership of SI Devender Antil, (I/C PP, ISBT), supervision of Inspr. Dharmender Kumar, SHO/PS, Kashmere Gate and guidance of Sh. Uma Shankar, ACP/Kotwali. 

At about 8:10 PM, one boy put his bag in X-Ray Machine and he noticed that a pistol like weapon in the bag. He checked the bag and found one Country Made Pistol (Katta) in the bag. Fortunately, HC Sudhakar was present near the X-Ray Machine, who noticed the scene and instantly rushed to the spot on the indication of complainant. Both immediately apprehended the suspected boy and the Country Made Pistol recovered from the bag of suspect was taken in police possession.   

On enquiry, the accused was identified as Pawan Kumar Maurya S/o Kanhiya Lal Maurya, age-23 years. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 431/2021, dated 19.07.21, u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Kashmere Gate and investigation was taken up.

INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that he was coming from Ludhiana to Delhi by bus. One unknown person met him during the journey, who offered him to take the weapon for Rs. 1500/-, so he bought the same. The accused was doing his own work of tailoring, but now-a-days he is jobless. 

DETAILS OF ACCUSED: 
• Pawan Kumar Maurya S/o Kanhiya Lal Maurya R/o Lala Ka Bazar Nasheerabad Rai Bareilly Uttar Pradesh, age-23 years. (His previous antecedents are being verified).

RECOVERY:
• One country made pistol.
