India reports 2,827 new covid-19 cases and 24 new deaths in the last 24 hours. While the active cases stands at 19,067, the total tally of covid-19 cases reaches to 4,31,13,413 and death count climbed to 5,24,181 as per the Union Health Ministry data.
According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate has been recorded at 0.60 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 0.72 percent.
On Thursday, the union territory of Puducherry recorded 2 new cases in 24 hours. The overall cases stands at 1,65,801, Health Department’s senior official said.
In the last 24 hours Delhi recorded 970 new covid cases and one death on Wednesday. The positivity rate declined to 3.34 percent.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “Indian citizens & students travelling overseas can now take the precaution dose as required by the guidelines of the destination country. This new facility will be available soon on the CoWIN portal.”
