Bihar: For entering Bihar on Diwali, vaccination certificate is necessary
CM Nitish Kumar directed that arrangements should also be made for vaccination of the passengers coming to Bihar, in a meeting with the officials. If they have not received both the doses of corona vaccine, then they should be given entry in the state only after full vaccination.
In the wake of upcoming festive season Diwali and also third wave of Corona in India, the Nitish government of Bihar has passed an order for the people returning to Bihar. Under this it will be mandatory for the people coming to their home in Diwali to get tested for corona. Also, if they have got the vaccine, then it is also necessary to have a certificate.
CM Nitish Kumar directed that arrangements should also be made for vaccination of the passengers coming to Bihar, in a meeting with the officials. If they have not received both the doses of corona vaccine, then they should be given entry in the state only after full vaccination. Also, if people do not have Aadhar card, then the vaccination will also be done on the basis of their second identity card.
The Chief Minister directed that the people of Bihar residing in other states should be informed through publicity that if they are coming to Bihar, they should keep the certificates of vaccination and RTPCR test with them. Those who have not been vaccinated due to non-availability of Aadhar card, were asked to get vaccinated on the basis of some other identity card.
Additional Chief Secretary of Bihar Pratyaya Amrit said that a large number of people come to Bihar on chhath and Diwali. However, the Bihar government has started preparations from now to protect against Covid-19. Under this, corona vaccination campaign will be conducted before Chhath festival and the number of corona tests will be increased. He said, from 18 to 20 October, a door-to-door campaign of corona vaccination would be administered to the people by conducting a door-to-door campaign.
