The second edition of the two-day event, Autumn Festival 2023, organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland in collaboration with the Chief Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, New Delhi and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is a prelude to the 24th Hornbill Festival 2023 to be held from 1st to 10th December 2023 at Kisama Heritage village Nagaland. It was launched on 3rd November 2023 at Nagaland House, New Delhi with the Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Smt. Manisha Saxena IAS was the chief guest.
Speaking at the programme, Smt. Manisha Saxena said that Hornbill Festival has made its mark as a brand and expressed hope that through Autumn Festival, the people of Delhi will be able to experience a little bit of the cuisine, handloom, and handicrafts of the state and encouraged them to be a part of the Hornbill Festival 2023 in Kisama, Nagaland.
Nagaland Tourism and Higher Education Minister Shri Temjen Imna Along was also present at the event, where he unveiled the theme song of the festival.
The guests and visitors also enjoyed cultural extravaganzas such as traditional dances, folk songs, Naga wrestling, musical performances and a fashion show by Naga fashion designer Mr. Vilhousa Movi showcasing modern Naga traditional costumes.
The second day's program on November 4, 2023, will be open to the general public. Guests and visitors willget to enjoy the rich culture of magnificent Nagaland, vibrant traditions, breathtaking artistic performances and various local stalls selling authentic ethnic handicrafts, handlooms, culinary arts and cuisines of Nagaland at the venue.
