Army Major injured as Encounter breaks out between terrorists and the security forces in Yadipora area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday morning.
Army Officer told that joint team of Police, army’s 29 Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a cordon and search operation in Yadipora village during Thursday and Friday night.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them, triggering an encounter. One army major has been injured in the exchange of gunfire and he has been immediately refered to hospital.
Police official also confirmed the exchange of gunfire between terrorists and security forces in the area, reports reaching sudarshan news that 2-3 terrorists area believed to be trapped in the area and the whole area has been cordoned off by security forces.
