Amit Shah: 3- days trip to Jammu & Kashmir starts from Today

Amit Shah will chair a high-level meet with intelligent and security chiefs at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar. The purpose to visit is to review the security situation.

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister will begin his three-day visit to Jammu & Kashmir today.Since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, this is his first visit to the union territory. The purpose to visit is to review the security situation amid the targeted terrorist attacks that left 11 civilians dead in the state this month.

Amit Shah will chair a high-level meet with intelligent and security chiefs at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar.The unified command meet will be attended by Director General (DG) of CRPF Kuldiep Singh, Intelligence Bureau chief Arvind Kumar, DG of Border Security Force Pankaj Singh, DG of National Security Guard MA Ganapathy, DG of J&K Police Dilbagh Singh, Army commanders and other officials. The Inspector General of Jammu Police and Inspector General of Kashmir Police will be present.

Not only he will hold security review meetings, but also, Amit Shah will address panchayat members and BJP workers, people familiar with the matter said.

Sniffer dogs, unmanned aerial vehicles, CCTV cameras have been deployed. Roads leading to Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC) have been made off-limits for three days starting today.
